Adviser Support
City & Guilds at your service!
We recognise how frustrating it can be when trying to contact a specific individual in a large organisation who can help. That’s why we have a dedicated team of Community & Society Advisers located across the UK who are on hand to help you develop and enhance your service.
With the aim of guaranteeing quality and best practice for learners, the Adviser's primary role is to ensure that you are able to confidently interpret and deliver our qualifications.
We currently have 11 Advisers located across the UK. Your nearest City & Guilds National or Regional office can put you in touch with the Adviser who covers your geographical area.
Expertise and experience
Community & Society Advisers have occupational expertise in the wide range of qualification areas we offer. In addition they have considerable experience across sectors, translating requirements into the context of the industry to support you in delivering our qualifications.
Support and advice
This team can assist you with the implementation and delivery of our qualifications, particularly if you are experiencing difficulty.
They offer assistance to centres based on their considerable personal experience or that of other centres they have supported. This can be very varied and examples include:
- Understanding exactly what is required to meet regulatory requirements.
- Offering support to a centre by supplying information needed to ensure awareness of qualification resource requirements.
- Supporting local/regional and national networks by informing the members about City & Guilds product and services.
Networks and events
Delivering qualifications can sometimes feel like a lonely and isolated job. To address this, our Advisers offer frequent regional/national events. These events cover qualification launches and briefings, networks, surgeries and quality improvement events. More information about the events can be found on the Community and Society Centre Support section of this site.
Product development
Our Advisers work directly with key stakeholders, Sector Skills Councils and employers to develop new business opportunities that reflect a real four nation perspective and enable development of sector relevant qualifications. This customer focused link that they provide to product development ensures our qualifications are fit for purpose. Who better to help centres deliver new qualifications than the people who played a significant role in steering their development?
Advisers are not the only support we have to offer our centres. We also provide quality improvement documentation in the form a consolidated Guidance Update and qualification related frequently asked questions (FAQs).
